FAQs
European Powder Brows
-
European Powder Brows is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure that uses a soft, powdered technique to create a filled-in, natural-looking eyebrow. This method involves applying pigment in a gradient pattern to achieve a soft, shaded appearance that mimics the look of makeup. European powder brows are ideal for clients that are seeking a fuller, more defined brow look without having to fill in their brows with a pencil or pomade daily.
This technique will typically last between 1 to 3 years, depending on factors such as your skin type, lifestyle and aftercare after your procedure. The pigment will gradually fade over time, so touch-up appointments are recommended every 12 to 18 months to maintain your desired colour and shape.

Whether you’re getting the Feather or European Power Brow technique, please ensure that you come to your appointment with your brows clean and free of any makeup. Avoid using any brow products and please inform your artist if you’ve had any brow treatments done prior.
It’s also strongly advised to avoid caffeine, alcohol and/or any blood-thining medications 24 hours before your appointment to minimise any potential sensitivity. If you have any questions, please speak with your artist.

During eyebrow enhancement procedures your artist will use a compounded numbing cream to ensure a comfortable experience. Very few clients have reported feeling a mild sensation during the procedure and have found this method effective to minimise discomfort. Thanks to the numbing cream, many clients have been comfortable enough where they have fallen asleep during the session.
What is the healing process like for eyebrow enhancements?
During the initial healing stage for your eyebrow enhancement (the first 7 - 10 days), you may experience redness, swelling or flaking. The procedure will take 4-6 weeks to fully heal and for the pigment to settle, allowing the brows to take on their final appearance. Please ensure that your aftercare instructions are carefully followed to deliver the best results.
-
It’s highly recommended to avoid applying makeup directly to the eyebrow area for the first 7-10 days to allow for proper healing and avoid any risk of infection. After the initial healing period, you can resume your normal makeup routine.
-
For the first 7-10 days following your procedure, avoid activities that cause excessive sweating or exposure to water such as swimming or intense exercise. Additionally, refrain from using retinol, other skincare products containing actives or exfoliants on the brow area to prevent premature fading.
