AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Cleanse Your Lashes Daily

Washing your lash extensions daily is essential for maximum retention. This will help clear your lash extensions from any natural oils, build up and makeup residue from the day. Follow these steps for effective cleaning:

    1. Wet Your Extensions:  Thoroughly wet your extensions with lukewarm water.

    2. Apply Cleanser: Dispense foaming lash cleanser onto a clean eyeshadow brush or a specifically designed eyelash cleanser brush.

    3. Cleanse:  Wipe the cleanser over your eyelid and down the lashes, ensuring it reaches between the extensions. Repeat for both eyes.

    4. Rinse: Rinse with clean lukewarm water.

    5. Dry: Pat dry gently. Avoid rubbing to prevent snagging or dislodging the extensions.

    6. Blow-Dry: Use a hairdryer on a cool setting to blow-dry your extensions from underneath, ensuring the airflow is towards the ceiling until the extensions are dry and fluffy.

    7. Brush: Use the clean mascara wand provided to brush your extensions from the top, not the way you apply mascara.

    Avoid Oil-Based Products

Stay away from oil-based makeup, cleansers and moisturisers, as these can weaken and break down the adhesive used to attach your extensions, causing premature shedding. This includes products that contain glycols and botanical oils.

    No Mascara or Lash Curlers

Mascara is unnecessary with lash extensions and may cause clumping and oil damage. Additionally, lash curlers can snap the extensions, so avoid using them. If you’re seeking a curled effect, speak to your artist, they’ll be able to discuss different curls in lashes and what is best suited to you.

    Be Gentle

Refrain from rubbing your eyes, pulling, or tugging at your lash extensions, as this can lead to lash loss or damage.

    Sleep on Your Back

Best practice while wearing lash extensions is to sleep on your back. This will prevent your extensions from rubbing against your pillow where they’ll potentially bend or fall out prematurely. Alternatively, you’re able to purchase a foam sleeping mask that’s specially designed to protect your lashes while you sleep.

    Avoid Heat and Steam

Make sure to keep your lash extensions away from excessive heat, steam rooms, saunas, hot showers and baths. The excessive heat can weaken the adhesive and cause premature extension loss.

    Book Regular Refills

To maintain a full and flawless look, book regular infills every 2-3 weeks, depending on your natural lash cycle.

    Use a Lash Growth Serum

Incorporate a lash growth serum containing plant-based antioxidant peptides to enhance the length and thickness of your natural lashes. Regular use will support your extensions by strengthening the natural lash base, resulting in improved retention and longer-lasting extensions. If you need recommendations on effective and safe lash growth serums, ask your artist.

Treat these above guidelines like your aftercare bible and you’ll extend the life of your lash extensions, along with keeping them looking as fresh and fabulous as you are!

  • Keep Lashes Dry for 24 Hours

For the first 24 hours after your lash lift service, make sure to avoid water, steam or excessive sweating. This will allow for your keratin to fully set. During the first 24-hours post service, hot water, steam or any kind of heat will weaken your lash lift, this includes using saunas.

    Avoid Makeup and Oils

Refrain from using mascara, eyeliner, or any oil-based products on or around your eyes for 24 hours to preserve the results of your lash lift.

    Be Gentle

Avoid rubbing your eyes, sleeping face down, or using eyelash curlers, any of these actions can alter and change the shape of your lifted lashes.

    Use a Lash Conditioner

After the initial 24-hour period of your lash lift setting, you can use a lash conditioner to nourish your lashes and prolong the results of your lash lift. This is entirely optional.

    Use a Lash Growth Serum

When using a lash growth serum, it’s best to select one with plant-based antioxidant peptides, these will help your natural lashes grow longer and thicker over time. Ultimately enhancing the results of your lash lift, giving you fuller lashes that resemble the effect of extensions, all while maintaining your natural lashes. If you need suggestions, please ask your artist for what lash growth serums they recommend.

  • Avoid Water and Steam for 24 Hours

Just like with a lash lift, it’s essential to keep your lashes dry for 24 hours after your Lash Botox treatment. Avoiding saunas, steam, hot showers and excessive sweating is essential to preserve your results.

    Skip Makeup and Oil-Based Products

Avoid applying any mascara, makeup or oil-based skincare products to your eye area for at least 24 hours to allow the Lash Botox to work its magic.

No Rubbing or Touching Your Lashes

Be gentle with your lashes and avoid rubbing or pulling at them to maintain the conditioning effects of the Lash Botox.

    Hydration and Nourishment

Lash Botox treatments provide deep hydration. Adding and using a lash conditioner daily after your appointment, will further boost the strength and shine of your lashes.

    Avoid Heat and Pressure

For the first 24 hours, it’s really important to avoid exposing your lashes to excessive heat or pressure, such as steam rooms, hot showers or sleeping face down.

    Use a Lash Growth Serum

Incorporating a lash growth serum with plant-based peptides will encourage your natural lashes to grow thicker and longer, enhancing the impact of your Lash botox with more volume and length over time.
If you need recommendations on effective and safe lash growth serums, please ask.

  • Do not touch

It’s really important to remember that a tattoo is like an open wound. Please avoid touching the tattooed area with unwashed hands to minimise the risk of infection.

Gently clean the area with Saline Solution

To promote optimal healing, wipe over your eyes with saline solution within the first hour of the appointment. This will clear away any excess pigment and lymph fluid from the service.

You can prepare a saline solution at home with the following steps:

    1. Boil water and let it cool.

    2. Mix one teaspoon of salt into one cup of the cooled, boiled water until dissolved.

    3. Soak a clean cotton pad or swab in the saline solution and gently wipe over your lash line.

    Apply Aftercare Ointment

Use the aftercare ointment provided to you by your artist and very lightly coat the lash line. Apply this ointment twice a day (morning and evening) for the first 5 days. Make sure to use clean cotton buds for each application.

    Use Lubricating Eye Drops

The lubricating eye drops provided should be used 3–4 times a day for the first 3 days to soothe your eyes and keep them hydrated.

    Avoid Water Exposure

Keep the area dry and avoid direct water exposure (such as swimming, saunas, or steam rooms) for at least 7 days, this minimises the risk of infections due to bacteria that can be found in these environments. Be careful while showering to avoid wetting your lash line.

    No Makeup

Refrain from applying eye makeup, such as eyeliner or mascara, during the healing period (7–10 days).

    Avoid Rubbing or Scratching

Do not rub or scratch the treated area, as this will interfere with healing and potentially affect the final results.

    Natural Healing Process

During the healing process you may notice light peeling or flaking. This is a completely normal part of the process. Make sure to let the skin flake off naturally and  do not pick at it.

    Protect from Sunlight

Avoid direct sunlight or tanning beds during the healing process. Once healed, use sunscreen to protect the area.

These steps will ensure proper healing and help you achieve the best results with your lash enhancement tattoo. If you experience any unusual discomfort or prolonged irritation, please contact your artist immediately.

  • First Hour Cleansing

Gently wipe your lips with saline water twice in the first hour after your appointment to help remove excess pigment and lymph fluid from the procedure. You can prepare a saline solution at home using these instructions:

    1. Boil water and allow it to cool

    2. Mix a small amount of salt in - approx 1 teaspoon of salt per 250ml of water

    3. Ensure your solution is completely cooled before use

    Avoid Touching

Keep your hands away from the treated area to prevent contamination or potential infection. During this process, your lips will start to scab and peel (which is a totally normal part of healing from lip blush tattoos), refrain from picking at your lips as this will affect the healed result.

    Avoid Spicy Foods

Refrain from eating spicy foods on the day of the procedure, as they may cause irritation to already sensitive skin.

    Antiviral Medication

    • First-time cold sore prevention: If you've never had cold sores, take antiviral medication on the day of your procedure as a precaution.

    • Cold Sore Sufferers: If you have experienced cold sores in the past, you should begin a course of antiviral medication 5-7 days before your appointment and continue for 5-7 days afterward to prevent an outbreak. If you experience an outbreak in the 5-7 day period before your appointment, please contact your artist so your appointment can be rescheduled.

    Moisturising

Use the aftercare ointment provided to keep your lips moisturised and aid in healing. Apply a thin layer as needed, especially when your lips feel dry.

    Avoid Excess Moisture

For the first week, avoid long exposure to water, such as swimming or hot baths, as well as excessive sweating, this could interfere with the healing process and potentially introduce bacteria, running the risk of infection or delayed healing.

    Sun Protection

Protect your lips from direct sun exposure by wearing a hat or using a lip balm with SPF. Sun exposure can affect the healing and colour retention.

    Healing Process

Your lips will go through an initial healing phase lasting 3-5 days, during which they will peel. This is completely normal as the top layer of skin sheds and the colour may appear lighter during this time. After approximately 3-4 weeks, the true colour and intensity of your lip tattoo will fully blossom, giving you the final desired result.

Following these instructions ensures optimal healing and beautiful results!

  • Gently clean the area with Saline Solution

To promote optimal healing, wipe over your brows with saline solution twice within the first hour of the appointment. This will clear away any excess pigment and excess lymph fluid from the service.

You can prepare a saline solution at home with the following steps:

    1. Boil water and let it cool.

    2. Mix one teaspoon of salt into one cup of the cooled, boiled water until dissolved.

    3. Soak two clean cotton pads in the saline solution and gently wipe over your brows.

    No Touching or Picking

Do not touch, scratch, or pick at your brows during the healing process to avoid irritation and infection.

    Keep Brows Clean and Dry

Avoid getting your brows wet for the first few days. When washing your face, use a gentle cleanser and avoid direct water contact with the brow area.

    Avoid Makeup

Refrain from applying any makeup on the brow area for at least 7 days to ensure proper healing.

    Moisturise

Apply the aftercare ointment provided by your artist as instructed. This helps keep the area hydrated and supports the healing process.

    Monitor Healing

It's normal for your brows to go through a healing phase where they may appear darker and more prominent initially and then lighten by at least 50% as they heal.

Following these aftercare instructions will help ensure a smooth healing process and the best possible results for your brow tattoo. If you have any concerns during the healing process, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your artist - They’re more than willing to address any questions or concerns!
